At Agape Dog, we strongly believe that training should be…

Humane & Ethical

In accordance to the latest evidence & research, we are committed to only using humane & ethical training techniques and teaching methods on our companion pets.

International boards such as the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) have put out clear position statements regarding the importance of a positive training style, which directly impacts animal welfare, training effectiveness, and the dog-human relationship.

Effective & Lasting

Not only are force & fear free, positive reinforcement methods effective in modifying and teaching new behaviours, they are also proven to be long-lasting & create happy, thinking pets.

Gone are the days where punitive methods and debunked Dominance Theory are societally accepted. Join us in the new ways of training & leading positive lives with our pets!

Enjoyable for All

The human end of the leash is important to every ethical, force free trainer. You will never find us shaming or blaming pet guardians for their dogs’ behaviours. You will never be asked to cause pain and fear in your dogs via leash popping, jerking, and other similar methods.

Instead, look forward to exciting & fun exercises and games for most of our programmes covering a wide range of behavioural concerns! You might just get hooked on training!

Our Mission & Commitment

It’s no secret that behaviour change can be challenging. There is no proper regulation when it comes to who can become a dog trainer. Years of misinformation have resulted in aversive methods involving pain, fear, & coercion being the norm.

Things are slowly changing. We want to be at the forefront of contributing to a positive impact. At Agape Dog, our mission is to prioritise the emotional and behavioural well-being of the dogs we work with. We focus on welfare-based training. We are not interested in “results” or “profits” at any cost. Rather, we centre a compassionate & humane approach.

When you work with us, you commit to addressing behaviour challenges in a way that keeps your dog’s well-being at the forefront. If this approach resonates with your values, we’d love to help you on your journey!
